In as much as we love to marry, we should also understand that without being single we aren’t qualified for marriage. Marriage is a union built on singleness to ensure its longevity. This mean there’s no way couples will live together till death do them apart is either one or both of them are not single. As we discussed in the earlier post, singleness isn’t a marital status, it is a state of being in Christ. Scriptures will help us clear some doubt and put us on the right path.

The License to Marry

Genesis 2:18 makes us understand that without being single, one is not eligible to marry. In other words, until a person lives in the presence of God, Holy Spirit filled and bears His intangible nature, he or she isn’t qualified tie a nut.

Now let us take a look at some scriptures that speaks of God’s mind. I pray the Lord that you get this revelation about to be unfolded to us from above. Amen.

The Manual for Life

Genesis 2:15
And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

Genesis 2:16
And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

Genesis 2:17
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Genesis 2:18
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

Genesis 2:19
And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

Genesis 2:20
And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

Genesis 2:21
And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

Genesis 2:22
And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

Genesis 2:23
And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Genesis 2:24
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Genesis 2:25
And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

The book of Genesis contains mysteries concerning God’s original intent for His creation. When God created Man, He placed him in the garden of Eden to work [to be fruitful] , and He commanded him to eat of every tree in the garden except that which is at the middle of the garden ; THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL. In other words he was telling Adam to be mindful of the kind of knowledge [information]  he allows into his being because God knew Man(Adam) would be destroyed by the very knowledge he accepts. Afterwards God realized that although man was single [was in His presence, Holy Spirit filled, had His nature], he was alone without his own kind; but not lonely.

The Beauty of Living in God’s Presence.

Everything He created had its own kind except man. So He caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, took his rib, and created for him a “help meet”. And since Adam was single, he qualified to take Eve for wife and that permitted them to enjoy the presence of each other’s nakedness. There was harmony between God and them till they allowed the devil to feed them false information concerning their identity. They were like God already and didn’t need to disobey God before becoming like Him; He created man in His own image and likeness.
